Black Belt Training
Students in our Basic Training Course start out as a White Belt. They then follow the belt orders listed below until they reach their Black Belt/ Jr. Black Belt. Belt testing is done every three months, split up into three testing weeks (listed on our calendars as "stars and stripes week").
We spread these out every 4 weeks. Requirements for students to move to the next belt level are 21 classes and they have to successfully demonstrate the techniques that have been taught during that belt cycle. Testing is done during Stars and Stripes Week.
At a Yellow Belt, we suggest that student and their families think about where they want to go with their training. If their goal is to become a Black Belt, then joining Black Belt Training is the step to take. Students who commit to their Black Belt are rewarded with a belt with a black stripe through the middle of the entire belt. This is so that everyone can see that they made the commitment to excellence.
The Basic Training Course takes students through white, yellow, and often (but not always) orange belt.
